Construction Field Superintendent-Responsible for the supervision and management of all aspects of assigned projects from mobilization through punch list and demobilization, including client relations and cost control of general conditions and overall budget of the entire project. Requirements:
  • Minimum 5-10 years construction experience working as a Field Superintendent.
  • Knowledgeable in general building and site/civil construction
  • Knowledge of reading project plans and specifications
  • Manages difficult customer situations, responds promptly to customer needs, responds to requests for service and assistance, and meets commitments
  • Experience working on construction projects with available references.
  • Current First Aid/CPR
  • OSHA 30 hrs. certification
  • Intermediate level in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Beginning level in ProCore
  • Experience managing schedules and working with Microsoft Project
  • Leadership and motivational skills

Job Duties:
  • Ensures that all construction work performed is of the highest quality-Holds weekly meetings regarding 3 week look ahead with the subs.
  • Assists project Managers in formulation construction schedule and maintaining construction schedule throughout the project from start to finish
  • Supervises employees, subcontractors and vendors to ensure both quality control and project compliance
  • Schedules and directs all inspections with city officials, government agencies and private agencies as required.
  • Schedules all trades and material deliveries daily
  • Resolves problems as they arise regarding plans or specifications, conflicts with the architect, engineer, clients and subcontractors and documentation of all corrections, changes and requests
  • Assists Project Manager with bidding, subcontract scope of work, pricing of owner and subcontractor change orders and verification of costs
  • Produces and submits the following documents accurately as per the designated timeframe:
  • As Builts-Records updates weekly
  • RFI’s & RFI Logs
  • Daily Reports-Submitted into ProCore on a daily basis
  • Incident Reports- Completed and submitted to Safety Manger within 24 hours of injury
  • Safety Meeting Forms-Completed and submitted to Safety Manager each Monday
  • Jobsite Photographs (following Construction Photos policy) Minimum three photos per day to be taken. Weekly photos submitted each Monday to Field Coordinator and Strategic Planning Team
  • Rolling Schedule- Detailed three-week schedule showing all working areas of the jobsite and all trades involved
  • Ensures that subcontractors are providing own cleanup of trash and debris
  • Attends regularly scheduled safety training and procedure (Field Team Meeting) meetings
  • Performs safety management responsibilities, orientations, quarterly meetings, OSHA Standards, Program Components. This includes planning, communication, monitoring, enforcement and documentation
  • Maintains and posts OSHA and Company required safety literature
  • Documents and completes all punch list items in a timely manner
  • Attends job start up and close out meetings
  • Assists OSHA inspectors Inspection policy
  • Maintains Systems and Procedures manual
  • Tracks, maintains and secures company owned tools, and rental equipment at all times
  • Completes Insurance Coordinator’s Sub on the Job Report and returns no later than each Monday
  • Conducts weekly onsite foremen meetings
  • Maintains all general condition costs
  • Orders all onsite material as required
  • Provides written backup to all subcontractors in regards to any damages, back charges, etc.
  • Evaluations of Craft Personnel completed weekly
  • Daily labor reports
  • Recording daily time cards
  • Production-units completed daily
  • Pre-Punch inspection mandatory
  • Obtain Building Certificate of Occupancy

Construction Estimator

Responsible for:
  • Estimating projects ranging from $50,000– $10,000,000
  • Estimating projects off production base quantities
    • Performing quantity take offs through Plan swift
    • Soliciting suppliers & subs through Procore
    • Creating estimates through SCS proprietary estimating software
  • Putting together proposals for SCS business development team within the designated timeline with accuracy include presenting a bid form with scope notes of inclusions & exclusions
  • Putting together bid proposals for public & private clients
  • Creating & running job hand off meetings between estimating team & project management team
 General Requirements:
  • Minimum 5-10 years of construction experience

Description: This individual must have all the qualifications of a Journeyman Carpenter. Basic skills associated with this position are required as well as a full inventory of hand tools as listed in the policy manual. Power tools will be provided. A general ability to read blueprints is also required. This individual must be physically capable of manual labor and be safety conscious. This individual must have obtained these skills either through experience or trade school and have proof of a minimum of 5 years prior Carpentry experience. Carpenters must also have the ability to work in unsupervised conditions. Basic Function: Build to SCS Construction quality standards in a safe manner. Reports to: This individual reports to the job superintendent and General Superintendent. Duties & Responsibilities including but are not limited to:
  • Possess all the skills of a Journeyman Carpenter and perform tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Can read and understand blueprints.
  • Can layout and build walls. Wood and metal, etc.
  • Can set commercial door frames, hang doors and install door hardware.
  • Can set cabinets and countertops.
  • Can install trims and finishes.
  • Can layout and install acoustical ceilings. Not a requirement but a plus.
  • Must be able to direct labor to effectively help complete tasks.
  • Can set up and operate level/lasers and establish grades and elevations.
  • Can fill position of lead man, when required.
  • Come to work on time and prepared with tools necessary to complete work.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
